SYMPTOMS

When you try to perform an administrative installation of Microsoft Windows System Resource Manager (WSRM) by using the Microsoft Windows Installer package for WSRM, you are not successful. When you try to create the administrative installation package for WSRM on a network installation point by using the msiexec /a Path:\wsrm.msi command, you receive the following error message:

Error 1308: Source file not found:
Path:\bin\MSVCP60D.DLL. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the Wsrm.msi package contains references to the Msvcp60d.dll file and the Msvcrtd.dll file. These files are not included in the retail version of WSRM. Therefore, when you try to perform an administrative installation of WSRM, you receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section.
