SYMPTOMS
When you try to perform an administrative installation of Microsoft Windows System Resource Manager (WSRM) by using the Microsoft Windows Installer package for WSRM, you are not successful. When you try to create the administrative installation package for WSRM on a network installation point by using the msiexec /a Path:
\wsrm.msi command, you receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the Wsrm.msi package contains references to the Msvcp60d.dll file and the Msvcrtd.dll file. These files are not included in the retail version of WSRM. Therefore, when you try to perform an administrative installation of WSRM, you receive the error message that is described in the "Symptoms" section.
RESOLUTION

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, do not perform an administrative installation of WSRM by using the msiexec /a command. Instead, run Setup from the WSRM CD-ROM on each computer that you want to install WSRM on.
