Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package, but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • Access 2002 may stop responding (hang) when you print multiple page reports that display images from a Microsoft Access project (.adp) file.

Note This symptom occurs regardless of whether you install the fix that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

331989 ACC2002: Memory is not released when you close forms and reports

  • When you use a Microsoft Access project (.adp) file that is connected to a Microsoft SQL Server database that uses macros to set menu bars for navigation in the program, clicking between forms multiple times may cause the macro to stop, and you may receive one of the following error messages:

There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close unneeded programs and try the operation again.

The setting you entered isn't valid for this property.

  • When you run your custom Access 2002 program on a Tablet PC computer, your custom program may quit unexpectedly and you may receive the following error message:

Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

If you view the details of the error message, you receive an error signature that is similar to the following:

    AppName AppVer ModName ModVer Offset
    -----------------------------------------------------
    Msaccess.exe 10.0.4302.0 unknown 0.0.0.0 0c590ed1

This issue occurs if you use the virtual keyboard (Tabtip.exe) on the Tablet PC.

  • When you run a complex report in Access 2002 that uses the Space() function in Label captions, you receive the following error message:

    Runtime error: 2101
The setting you entered is invalid for this property.

  • When you add rows to a subform in your custom Access 2002 program on a Tablet PC computer, your custom program may quit unexpectedly and you may receive the following error message:

Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This issue occurs if you use the virtual keyboard (Tabtip.exe) on the Tablet PC.
