FIX: ALT+TAB does not bring the owner window to the foreground when a parent form contains a ToolTip control

SYMPTOMS

When a parent form that contains a ToolTip control launches a child dialog box by using the ShowDialog method, the Modal dialog box comes to the foreground. This behavior occurs when you switch away from the application, and then you switch back to the application. However, the parent form does not come to the foreground.

RESOLUTION

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
