SYMPTOMS
You may receive an access violation exception if all the following conditions are true:
- You connect to a linked SQL server by using remote access.
- You run the DBCC FREEPROCCACHE Transact-SQL statement on the linked server to remove all elements from the procedure cache.
- The remote access connection is interrupted when you remove all elements from the procedure cache.
