SYMPTOMS
In a Microsoft Office 2003 program such as Microsoft Word 2003, when you create Document Workspaces in the Shared Workspace task pane (on the Tools menu, click Shared Workspace), you may find that the Location for new workspace list does not display more than six Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 sites. When the list contains six sites, there is no option available to remove existing sites from the list. If you add an additional item to the list, an existing item is removed from the list.
CAUSE
This issue occurs because the maximum number of Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) for Windows SharePoint Services Web 2.0 sites that are displayed in the Location for new workspace list is six. There is no option in the Shared Workspace task pane to edit the Location for new workspace list.
WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, edit the registry to remove the sites that you want from the Location for new workspace list in the Shared Workspace task pane. The sites are stored as Name0, Name1, Name2, Name3, and Name4 values in the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\SharePointTracking
To remove a site from the Location for new workspace list:

- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate, and then double- click the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\SharePointTracking - Right-click the Name
xregistry entry that represents the site that you want to remove from the list, where x represents a number between 0 (zero) and 4, and then click Delete. - Click Yes when you receive a prompt to confirm the deletion.
Note Any site that you remove from the list is added to the list when you use the site to create a new Document Workspace.

A Document Workspace is a Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 site that is centered around one or more documents. Site members can work directly on the Document Workspace copy of documents or work on their own copies of documents, and then update the changes that have been saved to the copy of the document on the Document Workspace site. You can use the Shared Workspace task pane to create Document Workspaces in Microsoft Word 2003, Microsoft Excel 2003, Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, and Microsoft Visio 2003. To create a Document Workspace site in an Office 2003 program:
- Start Word 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, or Visio 2003.
- On the Tools menu, click Shared Workspace.
- In the Document Workspace name box, type a name for the site.
- In the Location for new workspace box, click or type the URL of a Windows SharePoint Services Web site where the Document Workspace will be located.
- Click Create.
- Click the Members tab, and then click Add new members. Type the user names or e-mail addresses for the members that you want to invite to the Document Workspace, separated by semicolons. If you want members to have permissions other than those of the Contributor site group, select a different site group.
