APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft COM+ 2.0 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Visual Studio, when you create an object that uses the SynchronizationAttribute attribute, you may experience reduced performance in your Microsoft COM+ application.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because an _asyncWorkEvent event is associated with each instance of the SynchronizationAttribute attribute. Both the SynchronizationAttribute attribute and the _asyncWorkEvent event use kernel handles and cause the COM+ application to run less efficiently.
