BUG #: 469590 (SHILOH_BUGS)

SYMPTOMS

When merge replication is generating a snapshot, it is not successful, and the following error message is logged:

Error: 207, Severity: 16, State: 1 Invalid column name 'Column1'.

This problem occurs if all the following conditions are true:

  • An existing merge publication with a row filter must exist on a table.
  • The merge publication must have been created with the @keep_partition_changes options set to TRUE.
  • A second publication was created with the same row filter with a different value and a join filter on the same table.

Merge replication cannot generate a snapshot for the second publication, and the column that the join filter is based on is referenced in the error message.
