Bug #: 364425 (SQL Server 8.0)
SYMPTOMS
When you call a method of a COM object by using the sp_OAMethod SQL Server OLE Automation stored procedure and the method of the COM object returns the results in the output parameters, a memory leak may occur on your computer. If you repeatedly call the method of the COM object, the computer that is running Microsoft SQL Server 2000 may stop responding.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because the computer that is running SQL Server does not release the memory that is allocated to the variable that is holding the output parameter value.
