SYMPTOMS
When a server that is running SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3 is configured to use the Multiprotocol Net-Library, and the encryption option in the Multiprotocol Net-Library is enabled, the server might still transmit nonencrypted data over the network. This problem does not occur with SQL Server clients that are configured to use other Net-Libraries such as TCP/IP or Named Pipes.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.This problem was first corrected in Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4.
