The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, version 2.0

SUMMARY

When the Database module of Microsoft Works version 2.0 is used on a two-page display monitor, fields may not advance properly after the RETURN key is pressed.

To work around this problem, press the TAB key (instead of the RETURN or ENTER key) to advance to the next blank record.

MORE INFORMATION

To reproduce this problem, do the following:

  1. Create a database with two fields.
  2. From the Format menu, choose Show Form.
  3. Enter information into the first record for both fields.
  4. At the end of the second field, press RETURN.

Pressing RETURN after the second field will not advance the database to the next record, and information will not be entered into the next record.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
