Cursor Remains Hourglass During Excel for OS/2 Macro PSS ID Number: Q58949 Article last modified on 06-23-1993 PSS database name: W_eXceL

2.20

OS/2

Summary:

When a macro command that invokes the use of the hourglass cursor is executed in Excel for OS/2, particularly those with disk access such as OPEN() or PRINTER.SETUP(), the cursor will remain an hourglass and on-screen until the macro ends or another command explicitly changes the cursor to something else (that is, the standard pointer). The cursor may be moved with the mouse during this time, but it cannot be removed from the screen.

Additionally, if the active document is a chart when the macro terminates, the hourglass cursor will remain on-screen until the mouse is moved.

The following macro demonstrates this behavior:

A1: Stickycursor A2: =OPEN?() A3: =RETURN()

If a chart is opened, the hourglass will remain on-screen upon macro termination until the mouse is moved.
