Summary:

To modify a copy of the print driver to suit the Epson MX-100 Daisywheel Printer, use the Utility application included with Mac Daisy Link.

To modify the print driver, do the following:

  1. In the Utility application, go to the Edit menu and choose Printer Codes.

  2. In the Printer Codes dialog box, set the following (any radio buttons not mentioned are considered to be off):

    1. Under Style Implementation, select Send Escape Codes.

    2. Under Reset, set the following:

      27,64,27,35,0,0

    3. Under Character Style Codes, set the following:

                 On           Off

      Bold: 27,69 27,70 Underline: 0,0 0,0 Italic: 27,52 27,53 Shadow: 0,0 0,0 Outline: 0,0 0,0

    4. Under Carriage Movement Mode, select ASCII Only.

    5. Under Paper Movement Codes, set the following:

      Forward Line Feed: 0,10 Reverse Line Feed: 0,0 Feed Bin 1: 0,0,0,0,0,0 Feed Bin 2: 0,0,0,0,0,0 Feed Bin 3: 0,0,0,0,0,0

  3. To change the communication settings, do the following:

    1. Go to the File menu and choose Page Setup.

    2. Click the Options button.

    3. In the Communication Settings dialog box, set the following:

      Baud Rate: 9600 Handshaking: XON/XOFF & DTR Data Bits: 8 Parity: None Stop Bits: 1 LPI: 6
