Word for DOS user dictionaries, UPDAT-AM.CMP, can be copied from their existing directory to the directory where Word for Windows resides and renamed to STDUSER.DIC. This is the name of the Word for Windows standard user update dictionary.
Both products’ user dictionaries are sorted in the same format. They use a true ASCII sort (capital letters before lowercase letters, for example, capital W before lowercase letter a).
