Word printing problems may be encountered with Apple LaserWriters that contain the version 1.0 ROM revision. According to Apple, these problems are associated with this ROM version and XON/XOFF protocol. These problems are corrected with later ROM versions.
The most common problem encountered is incomplete printouts, usually involving just the first (1 to 3) pages of a longer print job printing.
Printer testing for Word was done on an Apple LaserWriter beginning with a version 2.0 ROM.
