SUMMARY
DocuComp is designed to find only changes made to the text of a document, including punctuation. It ignores the following differences:
Character Formatting
DocuComp ignores character formatting, such as underlining and bold, when it compares documents. It does this so that such formatting will not interfere with the attributes DocuComp itself uses to show differences.
Blank Spaces and Inserted Lines
DocuComp ignores changes in blank spaces and lines anywhere in a document. However, it does display those blank spaces and lines in the Comparison Window and in the composite document.
Typefaces and Graphics
DocuComp ignores differences in typefaces, graphical elements, and page formatting, and they are not displayed in the comparison output.
Note: DocuComp will in no way affect the original files it compares. They are opened for reading purposes only.
