SUMMARY
The DeskWriter may print slowly at times in any application. There may also be a lot of disk activity while waiting for the print job to finish.
To speed up the printing process under Finder, increase the amount of memory available to the application by turning off the RAM Cache, limiting the number of fonts and desk accessories available, and removing any unnecessary INIT type files. The printing speed will also be increased if the number of windows used by the application is kept to a minimum.
To speed up the printing process under MultiFinder, allocate more memory to the application by performing the following steps:
- Quit the application.
- Click the application icon.
- Choose Get Info from the File menu.
- Increase the Application Memory Size to the desired amount.
- Close the box and restart the application.
