Summary: Microsoft COBOL Versions 3.00 and 3.00a are compatible with Versions 2.2.x of the Micro Focus Workbench. COBOL 3.00 and 3.00a cannot be used in conjunction with the Micro Focus Workbench Versions 2.3.x. This information applies to the Microsoft COBOL Versions 3.00 and 3.00a for MS-DOS and MS OS/2. The Workbench is a product of Micro Focus Incorporated. The Micro Focus Workbench is not supported or produced by Microsoft. Microsoft COBOL 3.00 and 3.00a ship with a pamphlet titled “Micro Focus Add-On Products for Microsoft COBOL 3.0.” This pamphlet lists the Micro Focus Workbench as a compatible add-on for Microsoft COBOL 3.00 and 3.00a. However, the most recent versions (2.3.x) of the Micro Focus Workbench are no longer compatible with Microsoft COBOL 3.00 and 3.00a.
