SUMMARY
In Microsoft Word, if you specify an absolute top margin greater than 1 inch and set it as a default, the top and bottom margin boxes will be blank after you quit completely out of Word and reopen a new document.
To specify an absolute top margin, type a measurement preceded by a hyphen (-).
