The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0 , 3.01, 3.02, 4.0 5.0

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, a hard page break is one you deliberately insert in your document to end a page in a specific place. These are entered by pressing SHIFT+ENTER in Word. Because DocuComp may need to do some reformatting, hard page breaks may not work correctly in the composite as you originally intended in your document.

For example, if an extra line of text is added to the comparison file and it does not fit on a page ending with a hard page break, the last line will be printed on a page by itself.

For additional information, see page 48 of the “DocuComp Automatic Document Comparison Program” manual.
