SUMMARY

In DocuComp, when the Comparison Window first appears, the top window pane is the “active” pane and the bottom one is the “passive” pane.

You can control the movement of the cursor only in the active pane; the cursor in the passive pane follows along in the corresponding text.

You can switch the active and passive panes at any time by clicking in the passive pane to make it the active pane.

The ability to switch active and passive panes is necessary to allow cursor movement through multiple lines to text that appears in one document but not in the other.

For additional information, see page 42 of the “DocuComp Automatic Document Comparison Program” manual.
