SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, you can print out only a portion of a worksheet through use of a print area. Once set, there are two ways to delete a print area in Microsoft Excel.

Method 1

Remove the print area by setting the entire document as the print area, as follows:

  1. Select the entire document by clicking in the upper left-hand corner of the worksheet.
  2. From the Options menu, choose Set Print Area.

Method 2

Use Formula Define Name to delete the defined name Print_Area, as follows:

  1. From the Formula menu, choose Define Name.
  2. Select Print_Area from the list box.
  3. Click the Delete button.

The first method of deleting a print area is particularly useful if Define Name is not available because you are using custom menus.
