Excel: Cell Borders and Shading Obscure Page Breaks

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, using any of the options under Format Border (Outline, Top, Bottom, Left, Right, and Shade) can make it difficult to see page breaks except when viewing the document in Page Preview or when printing the document.

Shading cells with a page break on their borders will cause the page break not to display because the cell shading takes precedence over the display of the page break.

Although it cannot be seen, a manual page break can still be removed by choosing Remove Page Break from the Options menu.
