Works 2.00 Doesn’t Send a File that Hasn’t Been Saved

PSS ID Number: Q51733 Article last modified on 06-12-1996

2.00

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

When you use Transfer File Send in the Works Version 2.00 Communication package, Works only sends a file that is saved on disk. This limitation is true even if the file that you are sending is open.

Consequently, a problem occurs if you open a file, edit it, and then try to send it without saving. Works sends the file that is on disk (and thus the old version).

To work around this problem, close the file you are trying to send before going into the Works Communications area.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
