Last reviewed: November 17, 1997
Article ID: Q51452

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 3.0, 3.01, 3.02, 4.0, 5.0, 5.1, 5.1a

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Word, you can merge graphics from a data document into a print merge document in the same manner as a regular text field. Graphics should be placed in the record, separated by commas or tabs as usual.

For example, suppose you have a list of companies and logos. A possible setup for the data document is as follows:

   company,logo
   ABC Company,(some graphic pasted here)
   DEF Company,(some graphic pasted here)

By referencing the logo field <<logo>> in the main document, the main document will merge the graphic. For additional information on Print Merge, see pages 69-90 in the "Reference to Microsoft Word."
