SUMMARY

The mouse driver, MOUSE.COM, supplied with Microsoft Works for DOS version 2.0 does not function correctly with the Logitech Mouse. The drivers that ship with the Logitech Mouse can cause screen corruption and system lock up. In addition, the Logitech Mouse drivers written by Logitech for Microsoft Word for DOS version 5.0 do not function correctly with Works 2.0.

Works is designed to function with the Microsoft and IBM PS/2 Mouse, and is not guaranteed to function correctly with a Logitech Mouse.

Works for DOS users should use a Logitech driver no earlier than version 4.10 (dated 10/2/90). Logitech has also released versions 5.0 and 6.0, which have been reported to operate correctly with Works for DOS version 2.0.

If you are using a mouse driver with a creation date earlier than 10/2/90 (or older than version 4.10) contact Logitech technical support at (510) 795-0427 for an upgrade.

Customers who wish to download mouse drivers from the Logitech Bulletin board system may call (510) 795-0408.
