WINDOWS | OS/2

Summary:

There is a documentation error on page 299 of the “Microsoft Excel Functions and Macros Guide” for version 2.x, on page 301 of the “Microsoft Excel for OS/2 Functions and Macros Guide” for version 2.x, and on page 111 of the “Microsoft Excel Function Reference” for version 3.0.

In the discussion on the macro command GET.NAME, the manuals state the following:

If the name Sales on a macro sheet is defined to be the number 523, then:

  GET.NAME("Sales") equals "523"

The previous formula actually returns “=523”.
