List Boxes Not Redrawn Correctly PSS ID Number: Q50326 Article last modified on 04-20-1992 PSS database name: W_WinPRoj

WINDOWS

Summary:

Some list boxes in Project for Windows dialog boxes may not redraw correctly if a dialog box is opened, then the application is inactivated and then reactivated with the ALT+TAB or ALT+ESC key combination. Specifically, the scroll bars and the list box outline will not be redrawn.

The workaround to this problem is to cancel the dialog box and then reopen it. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.

More Information:

This behavior is unique to Project for Windows because of its capability to allow you to alter the color of dialog boxes without changing global Windows color definitions. Most Windows applications color their dialog according to the color settings for the window background (set in the Control Panel). Project for Windows sets its dialog and form colors with the settings found in Options, Preferences or the WINPROJ.INI file.
