SUMMARY

To import Adobe Illustrator version 1.1 drawings to a Works version document, do the following:

  1. Select the drawing in Illustrator.
  2. Hold down the OPTION key and choose Copy. (This will copy the embedded PostScript commands to the Clipboard along with the PICT image.)
  3. Paste the drawing to Works.

You should now be able to position and resize the drawing in Works.

The graphic is a PICT image with embedded PostScript commands that allow the graphic to be printed with the same resolution after it is imported to Works. If the Macintosh screen is only 72 dots per inch (dpi), a PostScript image not appear on screen. The print quality will depend on your printer.

To export a Works graphic to Adobe Illustrator 1.1, do the following:

  1. Click on the graphic to export it. This will place handles around the graphic.
  2. From the Edit menu choose copy.

You can now paste the graphic into Adobe Illustrator.

Note that the graphic is a PICT image and cannot be edited in Illustrator.
