Summary:

To delete a user-defined bookmark in Word for Windows Help, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Help menu, choose Index (ALT+H I).
  2. Choose Bookmark Define (ALT+M B).
  3. Directly below the Bookmark Name text box is a list box containing the current list of bookmarks. Select the bookmark you want to delete.
  4. Press the Delete button (ALT+D).
  5. Press the Close button (ESC).

More Information:

You must press the Close button after choosing Delete. Pressing the OK button or the ENTER key changes the name of the selected bookmark to the default name Word for Windows proposes; it does not delete the bookmark.
