Summary: The WordBasic Beep() command causes the computer’s speaker to beep. Beeptype is 1, 2, 3, or 4. If Beeptype is omitted, it is assumed to be 1. The exact tone produced will depend on the hardware configuration. A typical use of Beep() is to signal the end of a macro. The beep() syntax is the following: Beep(Beeptone) Note: Beeptone must be enclosed in parentheses, not square brackets [] as illustrated on page 2 of the “Microsoft Word for Windows Technical Reference,” “Macros” section. For more information on WordBasic functions and commands, please refer to the “Microsoft Word for Windows Technical Reference.”
