Word: Printing Italics on an Okidata 320

SUMMARY

It is reported that an Okidata 320 emulates an IBM Proprinter and can use the IBMPRO3.PRD driver in Word Version 5.00. However, italics are not available with this driver.

Use the MAKEPRD utility to make the following changes to the IBMPRO3.PRD printer driver in order to get italics:

  1. At Byte:136 mod:0, change “[IK” to “^[%G” (without the quotation marks).
  2. At Byte:140 mod:0, change “[I@” to “^[%H” (without the quotation marks).

Please note that Microsoft has not tested this printer with Word 5.00, and therefore, cannot guarantee proper results.
