OS/2

Summary:

There are three ways to cause a file to automatically load when you start Excel for OS/2:

  1. Use START for the first five characters of the filename. For example, START.XLS, STARTONE.XLS, and STARTER.XLS will all work as names for a start-up file in Excel.

  2. Modify Excel’s entry in the Program Starter (or Desktop Manager, depending upon the version of OS/2) by adding the filename to the Parameters section.

  3. In an OS/2 command processor, type the following:

    excel <filename.xl*>
