Last reviewed: October 31, 1994
Article ID: Q49268

SUMMARY

To export worksheets from WingZ 1.0 to Microsoft Excel, do the following:

  1. Open the document in WingZ and choose File Save As.
  2. Select 123 V2 (version 2) and save the document.
  3. Open the document from within Excel. This method allows most formatting, including number and text formats, to be retained.

Note: Do not use SYLK format to export the Worksheet. The SYLK format that WingZ uses is not compatible with Microsoft Excel. SCRIPT files cannot be exported from WingZ into Excel. Microsoft Excel does not support this file format.

The document may come into Excel as protected (but with no password). Select Unprotect Document from the Options menu.

To export worksheets from Microsoft Excel to WingZ 1.0, do the following:

  1. Open the document in Excel.
  2. Select File Save As, and choose SYLK format.
  3. Open WingZ and select File Open.
  4. Click the View All Documents button and open the SYLK file.

Note: All array formulas are converted to values only because WingZ does not support array formulas. Any hidden cells will be displayed as invisible in WingZ. To display these cells, select the cells and then choose hidden (a toggle) from the Format Attribute menu.
