Question:

I have the line “DEVICE=DISPLAY.SYS CON=(EGA,850,2)” in my CONFIG.SYS file, and I can’t prepare two code pages. Using “MODE CON CP”, I can see that there are two spaces for code pages; however, preparing a second code page causes the first one to be eliminated. How can I prepare two code pages?

Response:

Whatever you type replaces the same positional inside the parentheses with whatever was there. In other words, you need to prepare both code pages at the same time. For example:

MODE CON CODEPAGE PREPARE =((850,437)c:.cpi))
