Summary:

The following discusses using the Apple File Exchange software to convert Excel files from Windows to the Macintosh on any Apple Macintosh equipped with a fixed high-density drive or an external high-density drive. These drives come standard on the Apple Mac SE/30, Mac IIc, and Mac IIcx. A 3.5-inch drive on the DOS computer is also required.

More Information:

Apple’s high-density drives can read MS-DOS and OS/2 disks in 720K and 1.44K formats as well as 800K PRODOS and Apple’s 400, 800, and 1.44K formats. Using The Apple File Exchange program supplied with the Apple operating system, it is possible for an Apple 3.5-inch drive to read DOS 720K disks and copy the selected Excel files.
