The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0 - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, version 1.1

If the Gantt bar for a one-day task spans across the whole day, but should be only displaying for part of the day, then most likely, Gantt Bar Rounding is enabled. This tells Project for Windows and Macintosh to draw the Gantt bar from the beginning of any day to the end of the day, or a 24-hour bar. To turn Gantt Bar rounding off, choose Preferences from the Options menu and set the Gantt Bar Rounding to No.
