File: Transferring to and from WordPerfect for the Macintosh

Summary:

To export a file from Microsoft File versions 1.0x or 2.00 to WordPerfect version 1.0 for the Macintosh, do the following:

  1. Open the data file in File, and choose Save As from the File menu.
  2. Click the Text option and save the file.

This file can be directly opened into WordPerfect.

To export a file from WordPerfect 1.0 for the Macintosh to Microsoft File 1.0x or 2.00, do the following:

  1. Open the document in WordPerfect, and choose Save As from the File menu.
  2. Enter a new filename, click the Other button, and click Save.
  3. In the New dialog box, click the Text option, then click Save.
  4. Open a new data file in Microsoft File.
  5. Create fields in the form window, and close the form.
  6. From the File menu, choose Open Datafile, and select the WordPerfect text file.
