- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a, 4.0

Microsoft Project for Windows does not support conversion of ASCII characters less than character 32. Records containing ASCII characters less than 32 will cause the conversion process to be halted at the offending record.

Microsoft Project 4.0 for MS-DOS allows ASCII character 21. Therefore, Project records importing into Project for Windows that contain character 21 will halt the conversion process at that record. ASCII character 21 is the section mark character.
