If you attempt to bring data into Microsoft Project for Windows by typing task (resource) information into Microsoft Notepad and then copy and paste the information into Project, all the information is pasted into a single cell.

Although you separte each field with a tab, Notepad actually separates the fields with spaces rather than a tab character. Thus, Project interprets the data as all belonging to the same field and pastes it in appropriately. Try using another Windows application (such as Write or Excel) that correctly handles tab stops, or enter the information directly into Microsoft Project for Windows.
