MS-DOS

Summary:

Toggling between the IBM Workstation Control Program and Word version 5.00 causes screen corruption (for example, change of colors or flashing objects) when returning to Word.

Word 5.00 was tested with the IBM 3270 Workstation Control Program versions 1.12 and 1.13 and was also tested with the Attachmate Extra 3270 emulation software.

When toggling between the two programs, Word should be in text mode before toggling to the 3270 emulator. When you return to Word, redraw the screen (press CTRL+SHIFT+) to eliminate any screen corruption. Also make sure that you have installed the option that is used for TSR (terminate-and-stay-resident) programs and 3270 emulators (the BIOSSAFE.KBD keyboard driver) in the Word 5.00 Setup program.

Word 5.50 operates the same way with the IBM Workstation Control Program. Be sure to run Word 5.50 in text mode and press CTRL+SHIFT+
to redraw the screen when necessary. The safe keyboard drivers are installed with the video driver during Word 5.50 setup. No additional setup is required.
