Summary:
A DDE link from Word for Windows to another document or Windows application does not transfer hidden text if the hidden text exists in the selection or bookmark used in the link.
Workaround
Change the formatting of the hidden text in the source document from hidden to normal, and the text will transfer to the destination document or application correctly.
