Changing Running Heads to Regular Text in Word 5.00

PSS ID Number: Q47444 Article last modified on 11-02-1994

5.00

MS-DOS

SUMMARY

Page 159 of the “Using Microsoft Word” 5.00 manual incorrectly states that it is possible to change a running head to regular text by selecting the running head paragraph and pressing ALT+P (ALT+XP if a style sheet is attached).

This method resets the paragraph formatting for the selected text, but does not change running head to normal text.

To change running-head text to regular text, select the running-head text, choose Format Running-head, and set the “position:” field to “None”.
