If you try to use more data in a single merge than Microsoft Works for MS-DOS allows, the following error message is displayed:
Field contents too long: continue?
Works can merge approximately 2048 characters (2K) from a Database file to a Word Processor document. This number varies depending on the number of fields in the main document and the number of characters in each field of the database. Reduce the number of fields used in your main document or reduce the size of the fields in your database, and then choose the Print Form Letters command again.
