The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, versions 2.0 and 3.0

SUMMARY

If you enter a time greater than 11:59 A.M. in a Works spreadsheet, Works will display that time relative to the 24-hour clock. For example, “1:00PM” will be displayed as 13:00, “2:00PM” will be displayed as 14:00, etc. This problem will occur if the Macintosh clock is set to 24-hour mode.

To change the time mode to a 12-hour format:

  1. From the Apple menu, choose Control Panel. (If you are using System 7.0, choose Control Panels from the Apple menu, then choose General Controls.)
  2. Under Time, select the 12hr box to change to 12-hour mode.

Additional Information:

Works will display all times entered before 12:00 as “A.M.” hours unless “P” or “PM” is included in the entry.
