Summary:
If you are using TELNET as your communications software for transferring PC Word and Macintosh Word documents over an Ethernet network, you must disable the Mac Binary option. TELNET enables Mac Binary for File Transfer Protocol (FTP) over a network by default.
To disable Mac Binary, remove the “x” from the Mac Binary check box when running the TELNET configuration program.
PC Word and Macintosh Word documents may contain incorrect character and paragraph formatting information when transferred with Mac Binary enabled. Word documents transferred between the Macintosh and PC environments require XModem FTP.
