SUMMARY
With Word version 5.00, there have been several problems with mouse trails, multiple cursors, and hanging in systems with a COMPAQ VGA card. These problems have been traced to an older version of the video ROM BIOS used on these cards.
The program ROMREV.COM that is available on the COMPAQ Setup disk reports the version numbers of the components. The Revision A.1 Family V BIOS ROM has exhibited these problems. The newer Revision B.0 Family V (or later) is recommended for proper operation. Contact Compaq Computer Corporation at (800) 231-0900 for further information.
