Summary:
Garbage characters (for example, #@&*$) that appear when printing a document in Microsoft Word using the Mac Daisy Link printer driver are usually caused by a baud rate or parity mismatch.
Make sure that the Page Setup settings match the settings for the particular printer being used. On page 54 of the “Mac Daisy Link User’s Manual,” there is a printer family chart with the correct protocol for a variety of different printers.
To change the baud rate or parity, do the following:
- From the File menu, choose Page Setup.
- Click Options.
- Change the baud rate or parity as necessary. Click OK twice.
Print the document as normal.
