Changing the Project Start Date

PSS ID Number: Q46147 Article last modified on 03-15-1995

1.00 3.00 3.00a 4.00 | 1.10 3.00

WINDOWS | MACINTOSH

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Project for Windows, versions 1.0, 3.0, 3.0a, 4.0 - Microsoft Project for the Macintosh, versions 1.1, 3.0

If the start date of a project is changed (through Options Project Info), all tasks within the project are updated to reflect the change, as long as no constraints (except ASAP) have been set.

Therefore, if you enter a task whose start date is 12/01/90 8:00am, and then set the project start date to 12/05/89 11:00am, the task start date will be set to 12/05/89 11:00am. If constraints have been set, the task retains its original date.
