Excel: Can't Change Font Characteristics in Custom Dialog Box

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 1.5, 2.2, 3.0, 4.0

SUMMARY

The font, font size, or font style (bold, italic, underline, strikeout, outline, or shadow) of text in a Microsoft Excel user-defined custom dialog box always displays in the System font (normally Chicago 12 point).

To display a dialog box with different fonts, font sizes, and styles, those with Macintosh programming knowledge can write a separate code resource and call it from within Excel version 2.20 using Excel's CALL()/REGISTER() routines.

This feature is under review and will be considered for inclusion in a future release.
