SUMMARY
To import a Microsoft Word formula into Microsoft PowerPoint, the formula must be converted to graphic format, using Word’s Copy As Picture command.
MORE INFORMATION
Version 3.0
- In Word, turn off the paragraph marks by choosing Options from the Tool menu, selecting View from the Category box, and clearing the Paragraph Marks box under Nonprinting Characters.
- Select the area you want to copy.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

- From the Edit menu, choose Paste. The formula from Word will paste as an embedded object (this means it’s linked to Word). If you want to paste the formula as a picture instead, choose Paste Special from the Edit menu and choose Picture.

The procedure is as follows:
- In Word, choose Hide Paragraphs from the Edit menu to display the result of the Word formula.
- Select the result of the formula.
- From the Edit menu, choose Copy As Picture.
- In PowerPoint, choose Paste from the Edit menu.
The formula can then be resized or cropped in PowerPoint, if desired.
